Events & Outings our troop or girls participated
in
Troop Events & Outings 2001-2002
In December the troop went to the Pittsburgh
Ballet Theatre to see the Nutcracker. They
got a backstage tour and recieved a special patch
from the Ballet Theatre.
In December we held a holiday party where the girls
made ornaments and danced the night away to earn
the Making Music Try-It.
Our Thinking Day event:
If your daughter asks you for a bicky, or told you
that she had wine (non alcholic of coarse) with
her cheese. That is because the girls learned this
at our Thinking Day event. Click on the link to
learn more about what the girls did at the meeting!
Our First Booth Sale: I was very
proud of the girls at their first booth sale! We
sold 33 boxes in one hour.
The week of March 10th: March 12th is the
Girl Scout Birthday. On this date in 1912
in the United States, the first 18 girls officially
regsitered as Girl Scouts. We have invited two troops
to celebrate this birthday with us. The girls all
had a great time! Our girls would like to thank
both troops for attending and we look forward to
camping with you!
In March we held another booth sale at a
grocery store. We sold 114 boxes of cookies. This
is great considering the cold weather! We were all
very cold, but the girls did extremely well! I must
say Kaylee was not only our entertainment, but entertainment
for the customers. She did a great job!
In August we went camping at Camp Yough. Complete
details can be found here.
