Dream Camp Contest

What would your “dream” resident camp be like?  Here’s your chance to turn your dreams into reality by entering the Western Pennsylvania Regional Alliance Dream Camp Contest.

The contest is open to Girl Scouts from Brownies to Seniors.  Send a one page summary of your dream resident camp, including length of stay, theme, activities (inside and outside of camp), menu options and sleeping accommodations.  The winner of the contest will get to see her dream camp come to life in summer 2004 and will receive $100 towards registration for the camp.  The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2003.  Send your one-page entry to Jan Gray, Regional Alliance Manager, Girl Scout Councils of Western PA, 606 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.  The winning girl will be notified by June 2, 2003

{Resident Camp- Overnight summer camp program activities for individual girls.  Girls are placed into a camp unit with other girls in the same program. }

Volunteer Outdoor Spring Fling

Will be held Saturday, May 3 - Sunday May 4, 2003 at Camp Redwing.  You can join us for the overnight and stay in a platform tent, or just come for the day.  Some of the workshops include songs, games, ceremonies, older girl travel, and swaps workshops.  This is a great opportunity to earn your hours towards your Leadership Development Leaves.  The Girl Scout Shop will visit the Volunteer Event on Saturday.  Orders may be placed in advance and picked up that day.  Requests must be called into the shop by Monday April 28th.  Look in your Spring Training Schedule for more information and form.
(This is for adult volunteer's only)
